The man is touched when thanked in Marathi, revealing a hidden pain. The old man's son lives far away, earning a lot but neglecting his family. When the old man's wife dies, his son refuses to come for her funeral. The son's coldness hurts the old man deeply. Our storyteller listens, realizing the sadness that can hide within families. This encounter teaches our storyteller about the importance of gratitude and family. It's a reminder of how small gestures and words can hold great meaning.
